Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features text commentary of the weekend matchups on multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available on select stations for another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week in the football calendar , after recent discussion about two top teams being possible championship contenders, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Striking during those contests were the amount of infractions each conceded. The Eagles committed them at crucial times so they essentially defeated themselves after leading by two touchdowns entering the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, set to play overseas this Sunday.

But it was positive to see that Denver quarterback the rookie managed to have the shortfall before direct three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, to win the victory by four points.

Denver boast the defensive player of the year with cornerback their star corner. They are number one in red zone defence, whereas the Eagles are number one in red zone offence, yet the Broncos won that contest.

They had the Eagles' number regarding simulated pressure. They did not always sending more than four defenders instead they could position two LBs in the interior then drop them out and dispatch a slot defender off the edge.

Early on of the season, we said on a program how Denver could be this season's dark horses. They ended the previous year well and excelled of building upon that.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New TE their tight end has excelled significantly while recent running back JK Dobbins is a guy the team trusts. He now ranks fifth in the NFL in ground gains (over 400) as well as tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive that head coach Sean Payton displays "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet.

That shows that the Broncos are a squad that wants to run first, since you can do a lot off the back of that. It slows opposing rushes and maintains in positive situations.

This has benefited QB the young passer, who came into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, passing for 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess powerful arms to throw anywhere, however they lack in the same way as Nix. He boasts exceptional arm talent, which is different, and he's so athletic.

His assets include his mobility, the capacity to pass on the run, and using varied release points to make the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He can throw precision throws over the middle and over the corner.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he's got a lot of composure in the pocket and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He aims to evade being tackled whenever possible and is able throw under pressure. He possesses sharp intelligence and remains quick to decide.

When you consistently run the ball it consumes time and forces the opponent to stay in play for longer, and when you've got a mobile QB the defence must defend the field downfield and horizontally. It can be draining.

The quarterback has pushed back at Payton during games sometimes and I think Payton appreciates that fire, that he's a fierce rival. In my view it's exciting for him to have a rookie QB that is kind of like moldable clay. He can truly build something up how he desires to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach owns a championship and now passed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen everything. In my opinion the success the Broncos are having on offence is largely down to his leadership, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix aids shape him into who he is.

You wouldn't want a more qualified person in your ear, to help you during some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet is the team strong enough to face a top squad at full strength? Since that was not championship-level play by the Eagles in their last game.

Right now, it's unlikely Denver are elite. They're performing better than most, which is a solid position to hold the AFC West. All they need is is maintain this path.

They're really good at leaning into their strength, which is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do versus the Jets in London. It will likely be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

New York have surrendered 140 rushing yards each contest (among the worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they're the sole squad without a win any game.

Since the NFL started recording takeaways in 1933, this team are the first team to be without a single takeaway through five games, which is kind of shocking considering that their new coach was previously a defensive coach with another team.

The Chiefs' QB says Kansas City are off to a poor start after Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

Following this Sunday's game, Denver face a manageable slate up to their bye (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, Kansas City are 2-3 while Denver are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the division.

It depends on which form Kansas City shows up they meet because the Broncos {beat|def
