England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the last year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The finalists were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
