Iran Reports Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.

Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and ongoing offensive against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone in the area of the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is uncertain and the United States has yet to issue a statement.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - stated they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That initial attack - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck sites associated with the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the regime.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a number of missiles," the statement continued.

It said debris fell on a residential area in the capital, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
